Embarking on Excellence
At Essential Hockey, we aim to elevate Asian hockey to international standards. Founded in 2023, our team of former ice hockey players uses their global experience to bridge gaps in style and technique across all age groups in Asia.
In our first year, we focused on South Korea, forging key collaborations, including a partnership with the youth team Hockey Machine. This effort helped over 20 young players adopt innovative training methods and unlock their potential. Inspired by our successes, we launched our official website to expand our impact, driven by the belief that "Ninety percent of hockey in mental and the other half is physical.

Welcome to Essential Hockey, where our mission is to revolutionize Asian hockey through a deep understanding of the sport and a commitment to its advancement. Founded in 2023, Essential Hockey was born out of a profound desire to address the challenges facing Asian hockey and propel its development to international standards.
At Essential Hockey, our team comprises former ice hockey players from around the globe who, despite leaving their professional careers, remain deeply passionate about the sport. Leveraging their extensive experience in countries such as the United States, Canada, and Russia, our agents meticulously analyze and contrast hockey practices and games in Asia with those in leading hockey nations. This wealth of information allows us to identify and bridge the gaps between Asian and foreign hockey styles across various age groups, from youth leagues to professional levels.
In our inaugural year, we focused our efforts on South Korea, a pivotal hub for the Asia League encompassing teams from Russia, Japan, China, and Korea itself. Given our agents' longstanding ties and experience in South Korea, we initiated our outreach through social media, starting with an Instagram account. This initial step paved the way for meaningful collaborations, including a partnership with the Korea youth team known as Hockey Machine.
Our collaboration with Hockey Machine was transformative, focusing on young players ranging from ages 7 to 6th graders. Through this partnership, over 20 players had the opportunity to not only adopt foreign training methodologies but also discover and unleash their inherent potential, irrespective of their ultimate path in hockey.
Driven by our conviction and inspired by the results of our collaborations, we launched our official website to streamline our operations and expand our impact. Moving forward, we are committed to initiating and sustaining projects that will continually elevate Asian hockey. Essential Hockey remains steadfast in our pursuit to make a positive and lasting impact, guided by the words of Wayne Gretzky: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."
